With Monetary Economics, Economic Theory and Econometrics as areas of specialization, he has written many books (over 44 published articles) and presented a number of papers of international standard in the field of Economics solitarily and in conjuction with his academic colleagues (attended over 50 conferences). He also participated diligently in the University of Lagos Consultancy Services.

Dr. Adebiyi, a renowned and seasoned Economist, is a member of various professional bodies - including Nigerian Economic Society (NES), The Global Development Network, Development Gateway, NYTimes.com and Social Science Research Network (SSRN), USA. He has also served as a member of Editorial Board in a number of local and international publications. As an active researcher, administrator and educationist, Dr. Adebiyi Michael Adebayo has contributed immensely to the field of knowledge.
